brushes? bent brushes?

I am considering working on my brush technique again after many years. Was never great at it anyway, to start with.

Any words of wisdom would be appreciated.

Any thoughts on the Vic Firth bent brushes? whats the difference between regular and bent brushes?

Well, the bent brushes are... bent. And probably cost 10% more than the regular ones, due to the "additional labor" included. Just get a regular pair and learn to work them. You'll probably destroy a few brushes in the process, but that's the price of mastery.

Here are my suggestions:
Find a copy of Clayton Cameron's fantastic video!
I tried the Gadd brushes but didn't like them. Also, when you snag one and it bends the bristle, it can be difficult to work with.

The Steve Gadd sig brushes are made bent that way so that it doesn't snag on coated drum heads. They are kind of odd to get used to because of the bend but they do get a pretty nice swish sound. Are the worth it? I don't know.

Actually there are gloves which have straps on them!they are in the most recent copy of Rythym lol check them out. :)
