hey i've been drumming for about a year and a half, and my double bass is pretty good. actually its really fast, but the thing is i have trouble starting it off.when i first start my double bass it horrible. after a couple seconds it then gets to my normal fast speed.

is there anyway to practice to make my start off as fast as my normal?
does anybody else have this problem?

I would suggest warming up in advance before hopping on your kit - maybe tapping your shoes on the ground both heel up and heel down on the floor and work it up to your full speed. Then when you hop on your kit you should be able to execute your double bass fairly smoothly.

Possibly your technique possibly you are trying to go to fast with out a warm up or it could be you need to slow down and mark sure you can start properly because double bass that dosnt start at the speed you want it at is kinda pointless no affense :)

And what is kinda fast (curious) lol
