pearl of tama?

I'm going to buy a new drum but I don't really know which I should buy....
I'm thinking of a Tama Superstar or Pearl Vision or Pearl Export.
Superstar& vision cost almost the same but the export is cheaper but I think the quality is nothing compaired too the other kits.

It will be My 3rd drum.I allready play 10years. I currently have a tama swingstar.
And I'm going to buy profesional cymbals(sabian hhx).

I just don't wont to spend alot of money on a prof. kit couse I think the Superstar or Vision are good kits.

Somebody any suggestions??

aha!! another fellow belgian drummer! you don't see many of those around here! ;-)

I would go for the tama or pearl vision, just because I haven't heared a lot of good things about the export series. If it is true that you've been drumming for 10 years already I would definitely NOT go for the cheaper export... good luck on your quest!

I think those are good choices. If this is your 3rd kit, and you have been drumming for ten years I think something slightly better should be brought into consideration, but that's for you to decide.

Both are great kits, and they sound wonderful for their price. But you really should think about going to a intermediate-pro level kit such as the old Pearl Sessions, or a Taye Studiomaple, or any other of a number of kits in that range. There really is quite a noticeable difference in quality.

However, I have had good experiences with both the Superstar and Vision kits, and I would not advise against either of them. I am a bit partial to the Superstar, but when I heard the Vision kit used live in a drum festival, it really surprised me.

From what I understand a Swingstar is a nice beginner set, and buying an Export over that would be stupid.

I don't know much about the Pearl Vision, but I know a lot of people are happy with their Superstars here. If you consider buying pro cymbals you could even consider buying even better drums, then you can have everything just as you want it :-).

Out of the 3 listed, i say the Pearl vision. Im not a big fan of the superstar.

But truthfully, i would buy a Gretsch Catalina. They are just fantastic sets.

i personally have the pearl vision and i think its amazing. slap some new evans ec2s on the toms and emad2 on the bass and it sings. i just got another bass drum too and the two together sound amazing

You should try them both out. I have chosen the superstar over the Pearl Vision but that's also because I am brand loyal, and I really liked the ocean fade finish of the Superstar.
