dw go anywhere

does anyone know if the pads on the dw go anywhere sets can be taken apart? i'm building an electronic set and really like how compact the go anywhere sets are. the remo practice pad sets are monsters. if the pads on the dw set can't be taken apart then i will probably get a remo set.

The pads just screw on to a series of threaded L-rods.Breaks down pretty compact; I ordered the bag as well and it stows away nicely in my apartment.
