Hey, im currently bass3 on the best highschool drumline in my state. The quad section leader wants me to do quads next year, and i was wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to what to practice in order to be up to par with the quad vets next year. thanks.

Go to vicfirth.com and check out the quad lessons, and all the videos.

Check out Bill Bachman's books and DVDs @ www.rowloff.com (you can see selections from his work on the Vic Firth site). If you really want to get good, march in a corps next summer (auditions and camps usually start in November).
Good luck!

Work on the current exercises that those quad players do. If your really into going for quads then I would get a teacher so him/her can start you out with the right technique when you are playing. But I wouldn't get to into quads now, especially that you have bass 3 to worry about.
Start with one pad and work the transition from bass drum playing to quad playing. Don't start working more drums until you feel comfortable with one.
