Drum clips for mics

I'd like to know about the kind of drum clips you all use to mount your drum mics.
i'm going to go for a set of drum mics soon, and i'm not going to buy stands for them(space is a major issue), so i'm planning to clip them to my drum set.
any help will be greatly appreciated.

My Sennheiser mics come with the clips and I know most manufacturers offer clips for some of their products. I know Shure does. Here's what mine look like:

I use the Shure rim mounts for my SM57s.

This might be of some interest. On my DW kit I mounted an SM 57 on the hoop between the two rack toms and got a nice clean sound. I have a double tom holder mounted on the kick drum.

On the Ludwig kit the suspension mounts were in the way and I couldn't mount the hoop so I mounted the mic on the suspersion mount. Oh boy! Bad juju.I was getting all kinds of noise from the rack toms.

Every time I hit the kick it would generate sympathic vibrations that went from the kick to the tom mounts, via the kick mounted double tom holder, and made some really strange sounds. I would also pick up the splash cymbal that was mounted on the double tom holder. It was faint, but audible.

I bought a small boom stand and that solved the problem.

So..... I guess there is a side benefit to having a virgin kick.

LP claws. Time tested.

Shure mic mounts. Reliable.

Depending on what mics you get, some come with. If you can find some S.I.B mounts, do that and you'll never have to mess with them again. I have a combination of EV & AKG MayEA mics that are internally mounted.

I've got a set of the Sennheiser e604s like T-Underhill showed in his pic, and I also use an Audix clip that I think they call a D-Vice. They both work fine. The Audix device is a bit more involved but has a gooseneck and is very flexible in placement, and works on my Remo djembe too. The Sennheiser system is simplicity itself, if not quite as versatile as the Audix. The other plus for the Audix clip is that you can use it with different kinds of mics - the Sennheiser mount is intended specifically for the e604 mics.

Amazon has the shure a50d clips for like 12bucks each. I can get something similar in australia by jts but they're 30bucks each.

I'm guessing the shure ones are pretty good since they come with the shure mic kits??

I'm still using the same LP "Claws" I bought in the 80's.

Never had to get anything else.

They can take some banging around and not get messed up too.

There's enough reach on the actual mic "arm" thing to get a mic in between 2 toms and get it in just the right spot/angle/height.

It can get into some tight spots that some other types might not since the clamp part can be away from the mic arm, and it's not all one piece.

Depends on how you have stuff set up too.

Usually, I only have to use one Claw for my hat side FT, and the other mics have either been on stands the venue uses, or they are like the one T.Underhill showed.
