I don't think it's too much to ask, surely Santa has $30,000 lying around.

Yeah, but I think you might just be on that "naughty" list. Good luck with that Santa thing.

How many consecutive years of being on the nice list does it take for that? I'm afraid that there's not that many years left in my life!

Now why would you think something like that? Maybe because I moved closer to the dark side with my Pacific kit, next......ahhhhhhhhh, DW.

"...when I see all you DW lovers having orgasams over how great you think they sound I have as much right to give an opposit opinion. Just about every pro plays one because of the DW mystic. I can remember years ago everyone seemed tp be playing Pearl, it's a fad, nothing more." Sound familiar?

Now now hateplow,
Let's be nice to the young stickboy. With his recent purchase of some PDP's, he has seen the light, but hasn't yet walked into the light. All in good time. As far as Santa goes, he has about a million kids ahead of Stick on his list who have been dying for some DW's and would never talk bad about them, he he.

Yes it does sound familiar, I still stand by what I said, I never said DW's were bad drums, in fact I said they sounded and looked nice. What I said was I could find a kit that sounded as good as a DW for a smaller price, there's a Tama kit at GC that's going for $1500 that sounds as good to me as the DW $4000 kit they have set up. The kit is made of bubinga and maple or birch, I'm not sure which. The kit is a purple glass glitter that looks stunning. I never much liked Tama, but now that I'm thinking about it, I still have time to return my PDP kit, my girlfiend might just kill me, but on the other hand, purple is her favorite color.

Man, I thought I pushed my luck :) You return that and I think you will have officially broken my record of most kits owned in the least amount of time on the forum *lol*

I think you pretty well said it Mike. That is a thing of beauty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Think for 30K that it comes with a free hour lesson with the man himself (insert whistling smiley)

and so the kit appears again. its so shiny it might just be worth all the threads about it, but $30k is pushing it unless you are the man himself.

the gold plating alone is probably 1/4 the price of the kit and you know the cymbal pack goes for $2700 not to mention hardware. Granted it's a ton of cash, way more than I would ever afford. but let's face it the people buying these are probably using it as an investment piece and not to be played.

I used to tell myself "id never play it i would lock it up in storage"
Hell no! I would play that kit everyday for at least 8 hours. I would take it to every show the band did even if it was some dingy bar I wouldnt care. Id have security posted around it at all times. and an electric mesh over the throne ready to jolt some drunkard with 10,000 volts. Then I would overkill every song we'd play with lackluster poser solos and around the world and back again fills. I would hit a cymbal 30 times every song. And pepper the chorus with my cowbell tree. I would flow through time signatures like a contispated spider monkey and wear my silly skull cap. and NEVER EVER wear even so much as a smile.
GOOD DAY KIND SIRS!
