It isn't junk, DW is in the name.

It's good stuff. I would def. look into what the price of building your own would be though, it's just pads on cymbal arms off a single base. The only tricky part would be the bass drum clamp-on part and pad, but there are DIY bd practice pad ideas on the forum.
It's a good product. I don't know what the price is, I just played it at the drum shop.
I tried it and it was a total waste of money and patience. The bd pad is totally unrealistic and sloppy feeling. Its not at all a good buy.

I looked at the DW kit, but opted for the Remo 5-pad kit. None of them are going to give you the same feel as actual drum heads, but for practice it's not bad. I believe the DW was quite a bit more money too. The Remo lists for $200, but you can find them new for around $170. Tunable, and fully adjustable.
I just bought a second acoustic kit for practice and don't need mine though. It is 3 months old, with some stick marks but in excellent shape. I am putting it on eBay soon, but if you're interested PM me. I could definitely make you happy with the price.
I've got one and its served me well but for when it comes to practicing grooves etc. You are literally imagining what you sound like.

What do you mean by ``tricky part``?

I bought it from a friend and I really like it! the pads are very similar to Real Feels! The only thing I don't like and I'm not using it also is the bass drum pad, feels like hitting a wall...!

Your right about the bass drum pad.
It does feel like hitting a wall, but I wonder if long term practice with the bass drum pad will lead to being a bit faster when applying it a drum head, ie; bounce
Still a great buy though, really like them. Im thinking of buying the 5th pad for it as well,
