I was talking about my gear in another thread and was quickly asked for pics. They told me I might want to show them here. The drums are in the cases but I took one out to show the finish. One ride is a sabian Hand Hanmered Jazz Ride which is the best ride i've owned in my opinion. The other is a Zildjian Constanople which is amazing as well. I also took a pic of my 14 K custom sessions. These are the cymbals i'm enjoying and using the most these days. It all sounds as good or better than it looks. The little girl playing the roland is my daughter, Lilly.

Here's why no one is responding.....

1) no specs, you're not telling us what you have
2) no pics of the kit .....just a tom....
3) the pics are large and take a long time to load...

so.....

SPECS PLEASE :)

That's a great looking finish, but most of us do prefer to see pics of the whole setup. So, when you get a chance to set them up, make sure and take some new shots.

Sorry about the lack of pics on the drums. I'll post better pics real soon once I make some room (trying to build a makeshift studio). I'll do it today after class . In the meantime, I don't mind describing my setup. My snare is a 14" Ludwig Black Beauty (new, not vintage). 95% of the time, I keep the tension fairly tight on it and adjusts the snare for different styles. It sounds great and is a tremendously versatile drum. I tend to be pretty busy on the snare so i keep the snares tight and don't use any dampeners. The DWs are finishply in Champagne Glass and consists of a 18x22" bass drum, a 8x10" tom, a 9x12" tom, a 11x14" tom, and a 13x16" tom. So the sizes are 10, 12, 14, 16, and 22 and the are all fast tom sizes. The 10 and 12 are mounted on a double tom stand as are the 14 and 16. It was important to me that my bass drum not be used to mount anything. I have a variety of cymbals but only use 1 ride, 2 crashes, and a pair of hats at a time. The two rides and hats I showed in my pics are great cymbals. They are versatile and just sound perfect to me (especially the hand hamered sabian). I have been playing K custom dark crashes with a china and splash as well lately. I keep my toms and kick tuned maybe just a tad tighter than most and I'm obsessive about achieving optimal sound and making sure the drums aren't resonating one another and the snare and all that. I'll be getting new heads for everything this week and will post some updates if anyone's curious. The roland is great for practicing, developing, and enhancing concepts and technique. I cannot emphasize this enough, USE A METRONOME. I try to jam with it for a while everyday. The td-20 is surprisingly dynamic as well. But If you're looking to get one just for practice, get the td-12. That's pretty much it. A lot of times i mount a tambourine on my Hi Hats and have been known to bust a groove on a cowbell once or twice when its there.

Hey there bud. That pic of your daughter is awsome! That must make your proud. My daughter is also at the age where she can now sit on the throne and play. You made a nice effort at getting some pics up even though your kit looked like it was packed away.

Do you like that BB snare? I like them as well... they sound awsome when they are tightened up. That ring that they give is my kinda sound, but it has to be really tight.

See ya!

Thanks for the compliments. I love the BB. I have experimented with several different tunings on it and i feel the drum can lend itself to nearly any style! I love it!
