Birdseye maple stave shells by Joshua Tree Percussion. Tung oil and poly finish. Ego lugz.

OK, let me be the first to ask ... how much did you spend for the shells, shell hardware, finish materials, and heads? Also, can you describe how a stave shell sounds/performs compared to say my maple DW's? I certainly do not have the talent to ever DIY, just curious and nosy. Thanks. Joey

That's an amazing set of drums. I wish I could build a stave kit. What are your sizes and wall thickness? And did you do the drilling and finish?

Jawwww droppin'. Very nice. You obviously got the shells from JTP, but what about those 'Ego' lugs? I haven't seen those before, although they look similar to Canopus lugs.

Darn.. Where in NC are you? Wish I had known someone was looking for some stave shells or I'd have introduced you to the guy that makes my shells for me. Believe it or not he's even better than JTP =)
