I just couldn't decide. I couldn't make up my mind. Both sounded so clean. So clear. So perfect for my sound.
I did what any good, healthy, red-blooded, American (relax, it's just an expression) man would do. I bought 'em both. No regrets. No worries. I'm happy.
Now all I have to do is hide them from the wife. If she knew I spent this kind of money, I'd be either single or in the dog house.

Sweet!
I have a 16" Evolution crash and it's the most glass-like cymbal I've heard. I absolutely love it.
Just one word of warning - those Evolutions are SUPER THIN. You can bend it extremely easily and I have concerns about it being the first cymbal I ever crack. But, hasn't happened yet so I'll keep banging on it and enjoying the hell out of it until it does!
Great choices.
Cheers!

My wife notices every time there's a new drum toy.
I understand completely the need to break the news about new cymbals slowly and at the right time. If not handled well a new pair of shoes or new purse may randomly turn up on the credit card bill - and that's just not good for anyone.

Great looking cymbals. I'm glad you found ones that spoke to you.
Don't worry about breaking it to the wife. If you have been keeping tabs on how much drum stuff I've bought this year (hell in the past month)... My wife would be thrilled if all I was bringing home were 2 crashes *lol*

YEAH MAN!
I have the 16 and 17" crashes. They are the most delicious sounding crashes period.
It does bother me how flexible they are though....

I'm not sure what I want to do just yet. When I play live, I'll have a much better idea of which is main or aux.

How much did you pay for it?-Wes
Both cymbals are brand new, but the Evolution was store "old stock"; whatever that really means. I paid 'out the door.'., $185 for the Evolution and $250 for the Stage.
I knew that $185 was a steal for the Evolution, and $250 was a pretty good price; so I bought them both.
