I left the original heads on for now and they sound pretty good, but I have an Evans Power Center Reverse Dot lined up for it pretty soon.

Very Nice!!! I bet it sounds amazing. That is one of my next snares for sure except I want one with the millenium throw off. Let us know how it goes in the studio.

Beautiful. A legend reaches another drummer.
How is it for smaller/calmer musical situations??

The snare looks fantastic, what kind of kit is that? That looks like a black diamond pearl finish.

A Beauty it is! Great photos. What snare are you replacing or whatever you are doing with it? Joey

Thanks for the comments, sorry I have been working too much.

Karl, it sounds fantastic with any kind of style. I love this thing.

I play all kinds of rock and blues, and throw in some jazz too.

My kit is an 80's Ludwig. I had them re-wrapped a few years back, and yes, it is black diamond pearl.

I am replacing a Ludwig Rocker Snare. It was an OK snare, just lacked something, and I found what I need in this new snare.

The shell looks undersized by the looks of those rods.
