He's a throwback to the big band showman/drummers, lotsa fun and very skilful!!

I think Bernie Dresel is very underrated. I saw him play a gig with Emil Richards big band out here in LA and he killed it. Very aggressive, great chops, still musical...everything. Oh yeah, they did not have a rehearsal so the entire band was reading...disgustingly good. I overheard him say he was using calf on his snare and it sounded amazing. I heard he is a great percussionist too. Definitely one of the best drummers out there.
