Jesus did the Giants stink that game.... They looked like utter junk. Dropped sooo many clutch balls. Why did Plaxico have to go in and f everything up.
Its really pointless to talk about the "best ever" in anything....people always have differences in opinions. Gosh everyone doesnt even agree that buddy was the best ever.
Yeah Plaxico really screwed up but I think the Giants will be fine, I still see them being one of only 3 teams that I think could win the SB. Pittsburgh and Tennessee being the other 2.

Granted the Pats are not in the playoffs but with all their key injuries they still managed an 11 - 5 record. Coach Bill Belichick you can say what you want has to be given lots of credit for their season. They are still better than many of the teams in the playoffs this year by far.

From what i hear it is pretty good, lol.
But the 'boys just fell apart didn't they...got 13 pro bowlers and they dont make the playoffs, that's the administration's fault...bad coaching? TO? Romo? they got some work to do.

The Cowboys' drama caught up with them, didn't it? Ughh...
Talk about underachieving. WOW!
I think Tony Romo needs to think about his unenviable position as being a big choke in the big games. Man, he stinks when it counts. Geeessshhhhh...
And the worst part about all this...
They're gettin' the same team next year! Uh, Oh!

Yeah I agree but ya know how it goes, he won't get any consideration for coach of the year, especially with the luck the Dolphins had this year.
It will be interesting to see what they do with Cassell, I think they will franchise him then probably trade him once they know Brady will be OK. I just hope Josh McDaniels stays on for atleast 1 more season because I dont think they have anyone in house who could take over the O' Coor. job.
The best part about this season is Manigina got his just due for being a RAT! I would be surprised if someone hired him even as a RB coach in the future.

Oh Yeah?
You think Brady is gonna be ok?
Well...according to some very good sources, his re-hab is WAY BEHIND schedule.
Plus...he's gettin' married soon, and you know what that'll do for his motivation.
IMO...his career is over! With the year that Cassel had, (much better than anticipated), I see TB stepping away from the game, and MC becoming the starting QB for the Pats.
It's simple, really.

Well if I was TB I think I would rather line up behind Gisele than the Center :-)
It is a touchy situation with his knee so I would not be surprised to see them franchise Cassel, I do think that Brady will be back. He's too much of a competitor to just walk away at this point.

Well, i dont think his career is over, but it sure wont be the same after an intense knee injury. IMO, his best years are behind him unfortunately. If he can recover and still be as good as he was pre-injury, then he'll be known as one of the best who ever played the game. But we'll see i guess.

LOL Yeah we'll see, he is already known as one of the best to play the game... He is the best IMO. Of course when he does come back and is the same then it will be well he has to win a 4th SB then I will consider him one of the best, or well if he wins another 2 MVP's blah, blah, blah... The numbers already speak for themselves not too mention the Superbowl's and MVP's and passing records. Which he would have alot more of if he played his whole career with WR's like MOss, and Marvin Harrison, or if he threw the ball with total recklessness like the Overrated Farve (who should have alot more SB's IMO).
Of course it's always a debate since there is no clear way to determine it but if you dont atleast consider him in the top 10 then you truly are either a Hater or just plain ol football ignorant. Believe me no one hates a player more than I hate Dan Marino but I do agree he was one of the Best to ever play the game.

Oh, Come on, nhzoso! You need to get outta TB's nether region, and start supporting Matt Cassel, man! Geeessshhh...
MC had a GREAT year! Considering his was thrown out there to the wolves like he was, after TB went down.
I thought you were a Pats fan, man! :-|
Give some credit to your team for Gods' sake!
And honestly, they got screwed out of the playoffs. They're better them some of the teams that made it...for sure!

Yeah I am with ya on this one. You can only blame the GM and coaches so many times before ya have to look at ownership as being the problem. They are nice to a fault. They need to demand performance, and not run the team like they do the Motor company. I dont think the Lions are going to get any gov't bailouts.
So what do they do, well they fire the coach and then say they are keeping a few assistant coaches which kills any chance for a good Coach who wants to pick his own assistants from taking the next Head coach job in Detroit. Good Job Detroit they even screwed up a firing..LOL

i can't believe i'm just finding this thread now!
i gotta agree, Gisele does have a nicer behind, and Brady is one of the most competitive atheletes in all of sports, i like to compare guys like him, Peyton Manning and Ray Lewis to Tiger Woods - they thrive on competition, they can't imagine a life without it!
and quick, before the playoffs start - Superbowl pick?!
Titans vs. Giants!
and how about a darkhorse pick?!

Miami shot themselves in the foot with all those turnovers and the Ravens defense was just too much for them. I thought the Colts would win but give the Chargers credit. As a Giants fan I'm rooting for the Vikings because Giants fans don't ever root for Philly, no no no! Competition is fierce this year so whoever wins it all is gonna have to kick some serious butt to do it. Go Giants!!

That Charger's Colts game was amazing! it was an extremely hard fought game, got to give them chargers credit. Though they'll probably get dominated by the steelers. i was hoping for the dolphins to beat the ravens but dam their defense is amazing. Ravens vs tennessee'll be a very very good game. still stickin by my prediction.

I find it interesting that everybody except nhzoso talks like Carolina's not even there, and to those of us who support this team, it feels a lot like 2004 when a New England field goal was the only thing that kept us from winning it all.
I don't know if that's a good thing Matt, as you see what happened to my AFC SB team prediction...LOL
I agree though that Carolina looks very impressive as long as their secondary can hold they should win it all IMO. Don't worry about the no respect thing thats what everyone said about the Pats years ago too, even after they won the 1st SB alot of people here said they would never win another.

Hmm...
The Ravens looked GREAT! The Cards surprised everybody by edging the Falcons. The Chargers got by with Sproles. And the Eagles just got the game handed to 'em.
The Ravens defense stepped it up...AGAIN. Ed Reed is just the best defender in the game...PERIOD! And Joe Flacco is so poised. The man's got heart, I tell ya. He's certainly doesn't look like a rookie QB, does he? I really hope they beat the Titans. They should.
The Cardinals looked like a beaten team early, but really came on down the stretch. I've always liked Kurt Warner, and it's good to see him playing well. Matt Ryan looked like a rookie in this game. Not like he did during the regular season.
The Colts just played horrible, IMO. First of all, they never established a running game. As great as Peyton Manning is, he's predictable when Addai doesn't get the ball enough, and run well. And they're defense couldn't stop the run, or the Chargers on 3rd and long. A lackluster performance by the Colts. But you gotta give credit to the Chargers. Rivers played a smart game, and Sproles played a fabulous one. 328 all-purpose yards? WOW!! Well Done SD.
I thought the Vikings were in the game the whole time until the second half, when they just went flat. It's was anyone's game up until then, but the Eagles wanted to win it more down the stretch. As much as I am NOT a McNabb fan, he was strong at the end. And the Eagles defense poured it on. The Vikings needed a little more from Peterson in this game.

Well here's another end to the college season bcs controversy. The BCS asigned Utah the Crimson Tide hoping that 'Bama would straighten out the mess. Bama wins, no controversy. Problem was they lost and Utah's margin of victory was even higher than Florida's over the Tide. Playoffs anyone? how many times do we have to say it?? I have it figured out now: a 4 team playoff system, teams 1-4 seeded by the BCS after the bowl games. Get all the bowls done by christmas, instead of that 3 week break in December. Seed 1-4, first round at or around New Years, Championship game first weekend of January. Problem solved. Division 2 and 3 have playoffs so...

as much as i hate to admit it - it could definetly happen, Jim Johnson runs a defense thats both tenacious and intelligent - if they could stop Jacobs and Ward they can stop Parker...
however, first they have to beat Arizona ( who woulda thought! ) and it will take more than a couple blitzes to rattle a veteran like Warner...

Steelers are just so awesome. They're so physical its ridiculous. like half of the ravens team got injured. Its tough to win like that. And Joe flacco's fumbled finally, in the big game.
The eagles, card's game was also amazing. The cardinals really surprised me, especially kurt warner. In the first half, kurt had a perfect passer rating. and the eagles were s'posed to have the best defense in the NFC.
Bottom line, i dont think the steelers will lose. They're just too physical and their defense is so shut-down, even for kurt warner. And if his o-line can protect him, roethlisburger should have a good time with the card's secondary.

Well...
ta hee...to all the crying Eagles fans. I LOVE IT when they lose. IMHO, Donovan McNabb is a big choke! In every big game, he falters. He will NEVER lose that reputation, unless he gets a ring...which will be NEVER!
And as for the Ravens...well, we had a really good run this year. And nobody, and I mean NOBODY, picked them to play in the AFC Championship game. So, congrats to them.
And come to think of it...the same could be said for the Cardinals,(NFC Championship game) especially since they're in the SB. Way to go, Kurt!
