Not much of a story, but this kit was played at the French Quarter Fest in New Orleans. :P
To answer your question, it sounds amazing! Definitely a good buy.

Love the finish :) Mapex's finishes are beautiful. Also, I see you have the 2007 model since you have the 13x6 BP. What pedals are you using?

I'm using Double Pearl Eliminators. And I do love my BP snare. Sounds much better than the Pro-M snare for my tastes. :)

I have a Pro-M studio kit. Mapex is great stuff. Mine's 2 years old and I still love the hardware even though it's more complicated than I like it to be. Even those little cymbal accentuators (the rubber things) are kinda neat too as they don't wear out like felts do.

Yeah those are neat. At first I was a little iffy, not sure if they would be as good as the regular kind, but, all in all, Mapex has some really good, reliable hardware to go with their really good, reliable drums :P

Second that.
Ive gained a bit of a reputation for liking mapex, and this is the type of kit that makes me feel that way.
Be proud my friend. Be proud.....

I'm thinking about adding another floor tom...does anyone have a suggestion as to which size?
These are the ones I'm going to choose from:
PMF1515N 15 x 15
PMF1614N 16 x 14
PMF1616N 16 x 16
