Tomorrow morning Im going to get a set for my toms.

I was wondering if anyone out there has tried them - Ill of course write up a report on them when I get them.

My kit is a Birch kit, and the toms run 10" and 13"

I like a clear, medium tension, Jojo Mayer type sound, with not too much muffling.

Can I get this sound do you reckon?

I was going to try Performance II's, but they look like they would muffle the drums up a bit too much for me...
Am I right?

Ah well, Im just going to go ahead and buy the Performance II's.

They arent expensive so I can always just change them If they sound too dead for me....

Meh.....

Haven't tried the Power Thins. I have the Response 2's on the drums right now. They are not completely dead sounding, but the are kind of subdued compared to clear Emperors, for example. It's so hard to know whether you will like them or not. Give em a try, I guess!

I have the Performance II's. They're fine, but I personally wouldn't recommend them. THey don't sound good when played quietly, they'll last forever, though.

I tried power thins, I really like them and was using them up until the Super II's came out.
Super II's are the way to go, they sound like a single play head, but with the durablility of a double.

I just got the Super II's.
Coated.

I must say, they are wonderfull, Ill report back after my session tommorow with how they sounded.

Im liking Aquarians new logo too, the box logo was nice, but the plain text one looks so much classier.

Very well thanks.

I think maybe Ill get thinner heads next time, as they are a bit too muted.

But IU have tuned them up higher than usual, and they work fine.
