Help!

Hey everyone im new here, But deffinently not new to drums. Ive been a drummer for the past 15 years of my life, Im now 18.

Well heres the deal guys and gals, I recently had to sell my kit due to family financial issues. When everything seemed to get back on track I proceeded to purchase a new kit, When i did that i ended up spending to much screwing MYSELF up this time financially... Now im forced to sell my new kit.
What i need you guys to help me with is how much you think i could get for my whole kit. I Have everything that is being sold below.

Specs on the kit are as follows. Depth x Width
All DDRUM Diablo drums in chill color (silver wrap with blue hardware) unless stated otherwise*
8" Pacific* Piccolo tom
8x10" Tom
8x12" tom
14x15" floor tom
14x16" floor tom
20x22" Bass drums (two)
14" Snare

Hardware is as follows
Gibralter rack - 3 legs, 3 feet, one 44" curved bar, two 20" straight bars, 1 adjustable angle clamp to connect the 20" bars, 4 right angle clamps, 9 multi clamps (for stands), a bunch of memory locks (about 20 if im not mistaken), one Gibralter logo.
1 straight stand
2 Gibralter boom stands
1 DDRUM boom stand
3 different tom arms
1 snare stand
1 Hi Hat stand

Cymbals are as follows:
All Zildjian unless stated otherwise*
18" Avedis Medium Thin Crash (minor crack that doesnt effect the sound)
18" A Custom Fast Crash (minor crack that doesnt effect sound)
18" Oriental Trash China (chunks taken out of it, Repaired and sounds amazing!)
17" Z Custom Crash (some cracking but barely effects sound)
16" K Custom Session Crash (minor crack that doesnt effect sound)
16" Wuhan China* (brand new)
10" A Custom Splash (brand new)
8" Paiste Signature Splash (brand new)
8" ZXT Flash Splash

Well thats everything guys. So what would you say this could go for?

Phew, that's a lot of gear! Having bought and sold a lot of gear myself - I would HIGHLY recommend that you split all of this up and sell it in pieces on eBay and your local craigslist, if you have one.

The cymbals will fetch a much higher selling price on eBay individually but you must be absoultely honest on condition, right down to whether or not there are sticking marks on the cymbals. If you you say "brand new", you had better mean that the cymbal has not ever been struck. Be straight-up with people or you'll have some very unhappy customers. This principle applies to all the other gear as well, obviously.

I would then split the kit between hardware and shells. Sell the shells together and sell all the hardware as individual pieces.

And, this should be obvious, but be professional. Clean everything up and make it presentable. Be very forthcoming about the condition of every piece of gear, right down to the smallest scratches. And...ask a reasonable price...not a ridiculous price. All of this stuff is readily available anywhere in the world...it's very easy to come by. If you charge 10% less than the full retail price...you'll find that selling it will be quite difficult. Most people are willing to pay that extra 10% for peace-of-mind that they're getting something brand new from a reputable merchant.

In other words, you're going to take a hit...but selling all this stuff in pieces will not only move it faster...but will also fetch you a better sale price.

I wouldn't bother trying to sell the cracked or broken Cymbals.

The cracks are barely 1/6" on the crashes having no effect on the cymbals. And on the china that a chunk is taken out of, it was repaired and sounds very similar to the original Oriental due to there not being cracks or anything to cut the sound short.

It doesn't matter whether or not you think cracks do not affect the sound - buyers will not pay anywhere near what they would for a flawless cymbal.

That being said, you'll still fetch a good buck for them on eBay. I sold some cracked Paiste Alphas a while back and got more than I expected, surprisingly. So, I wouldn't say "don't bother trying to sell them at all" - you'd be surprised what is in demand that someone else might think is junk.

I wish i didnt have to sell but ive been forced to otherwise i will be getting myself in even deeper which i dont want. I'll still have a kit to play at church on Sundays and Fridays. And then hopefully sometime soon when things clear up i can get a new kit.
