I'm a freshman and made snare and tenors. I go to Bryan Highschool. We don't have a rank in our marching band, but our order is seniors in the middle and from there on down it's the freshman on the outside.

Tenors are the most fun, but if your a little guy like me it can make my back sore for a while.

Since you're a seasoned tenor player, can you give me any adivice on how to make them seem less of a grueling task? ( besides lifting them up vertically.)

i also play tenor.......im the only one because i say so......we have two, but im section leader.......so i want to be numero uno...haha.....sont worry, it sounds better anyway

Uh, I could say 2nd chair (all we really have designated is our section leader, but I'm second to him experience-wise. And of the four snares I'm with him as the middle 2).

I want to learn to play tenors maybe for next year, but the only thing is that the grade one year above me (currently juniors) does not have anyone who particularly wants to be section leader next year when they are seniors, so I may have to be section leader next year, and our instructor wants the section leader on snare. And I might definitely be section leader in 2 years 'cause there's only one other guy in my grade level on the line and he's playing tenors.

Well last year our schools marching band made sixth in the state of Illinois. So i guess if you really wanna find out the school i'm in just figure that out. That year i played bass five. Just got back from band camp today and we learned two movements of our new show "Trapped". All original music complete with percussion features (which the band has rarely seen before). I'm pumped.

When I was a wee lad, I marched the the Rose Parade on New Year's Day in Pasadena on three occasions. The last year with my college in the Rose Bowl game I played a "latin combo"....two bongos straight ahead and two 15" timbales on either side. They were Slingerland chrome over wood and weighed about 30 pounds with the carrier. The Rose Parade was/is about 6.5 miles..plus a pre game show plus a shared half time show. By the end of the day we were all toast. The other two years I played snare in the local city college band and that by compairson was a cake walk.

I am a senior.

We have four snares and I am splitting center.

I go to The Colony High School in The Colony Texas.

Last year we were the top AAAA drumline in the area.

Our show this year is badass and the band is shooting for a spot in the state champs.
