Greetings,
One of the band's i'm in recorded at the beginning of June. The album has been mastered/is finished. We have found a nice little free font that we want to use for our logo, etc, etc, etc. We are just having one problem....Art work for the Album. We don't mind paying an artist some money for some nice artwork, but I can not seem to find any online. I live in a fairly small town and know of no good artists either. I'm just wondering if anyone has any online recommendations for art, etc for albums.
Name of the band is "The Omaha System" songs are available here, http://www.myspace.com/theomahasystem
We honestly don't have anything inparticular that we are shooting for as far as the artwork goes. We were just wanting someone to maybe listen to some (or all) of the album and make something for us. Sorry for the rant.

I kinda like the black background with white font that you're using on your myspace. Maybe the black cover is to unoriginal... Let me cook up something good for yah.
I'll post my creation in a few.

You don't know how funny that picture is to me. I actually live in the "hometown" of Chuck Norris.....Yes, this is true.

Awesome input so far guys. The font for the band's logo is here (http://www.dafont.com/plague-death.font). The name of the font is PlagueDeath, it's a pretty nice freebie I found.
As far as ideas that we have for album art, we really have none at all. The album is named for a song on the album, titled "A Good Morning". The song is basically saying to take chances in love. The lyrics are something along the lines of this: "following your heart, leads nowhere, except into this abyss.....i hope to find you there". I hope i didn't butcher my buddy's lyrics too much. It's a beautiful song. Acoustic, lovely. Some of the other songs from the album are on the myspace too.
Basically, we are just looking for something along the lines of the song above, but visual. We are not artist in that sort of way, so we just draw blanks as far as ideas go.

If you're into fractal art I can make you a fractal album cover, it would be a fun job :) An example of fractal art is in the attachment. This one is very organic, they can be a little more techy, and any colour you wish. And on any kind of background. PM me if you want fractal art, I'll do it for free because it's my hobby.

Thanks :) I was hooked on it really quickly. It's also very easy, I just use Apophysis, it's always a bit of a coincidence to find a good looking fractal, and after that I adjust them (raw fractals from Apophysis are ugly grainy), noise filtering, sotfening a little, and adjusting colour. It's a pretty easy process but the results are fascinating.

Seriously....my town has a Chuck Norris museum. He's on our water tower. But the funny thing is, he only lived for a few years with a family member, while he was growing up. All of the rednecks here take it very very seriously though.

I know man. I just think it's hilarious how seriously people take him around here. I love all of the jokes/Facts about him. Especially being where I'm from. I really need to scan some pictures from the Chuck Norris museum and upload them somewhere for fun.
