I had the pleasure to see Aaron Spears a month or so ago on the American Idol tour. The man can play drums. He was very powerful and his groove was awesome. It was very inspiring.

He played variations on the fill that's on the video here and it was pretty amazing.

Experiment with displacing triplets. Instead of playing them with 2 hands down the drums, try playing one hand on a different drum in a different order and include the bass drum for a few of them. Try that out at different speeds and you'll have that lick in NO time.
