Sorry if this is a repeated question, but can the Pearl P-2002C PowerShifter Eliminator Double Pedal become two single pedals?

Yes. The double is made from two singles. You can convert back and forth if you need to.

Most high end double pedals allow you to convert the slave pedal to a single kick pedal. It does, however, sometimes become a question of "how easy is it"? I had a Gibraltar Intruder pedal that you simply disconnected the driveshaft and changed the secondary beater from the main pedal to the slave pedal. Easy. My DW 5000 double required one more step, adding the spring mechanism to the slave pedal. Some pedals, the piece that holds the beater must also be relocated from the main to the slave. Some pedals, you cannot make the slave a single pedal (ie. no hoop clamp). These are things one should look at before you buy a double pedal.

why would you need two single pedals when u have 1 double pedal which also can be automatically a single pedal too...

If someone wants to run 2 kick drums, a double pedal that can become 2 single pedals is one way to make that plane fly.

If you have the parts, it can be done..i learned the hard way when the main pedal drive shaft for the slave pedal broke..So since the "right side" was okay, i took the slave beater off the right pedal and made a single pedal out of the slave..and with some "old parts' that every drummer should keep around just incase lol"..I made a single pedal out of the double.....
