Looks like any of those would work just fine, I personally might pick the second for its folding ability.

very good point...so would i...but i have access to a metal shop and i can weld, and i would make my own..but alot cant do that...but yes...the Pro Mark is cheaper and foldable.

I have the first one which I do like because it is somewhat adjustable in feel. those other seem so hard and not like I tune my bass at all in feel.

I own Pearl's practice pad and the Gibralter one looks identical. Mine works well and is compatible with my IC and Axis, and it folds.

I have the Gibralter. It works well, and I believe you can tune the striking surface. It bounces well for a practice pad and its pretty solid.

Has anyone heard about Kieffa practice drums? They are acoustic practice drums and I believe they recently issued they're first drum set. I'm sure you could get a practice bass drum that is more of a high-end instrument. I really like they're practice drums. I feel like Kieffa drums have the most realistic tone variations and response than anything else on the market. You pay a little more, but you get so much out of your playing if you are serious about practicing. They're website is www.kieffadrumco.com and I can send pictures later of my Kieffa drums. Peace.

I have a Pearl BD10 which looks exactly like the Pro-Mark. I haven't used it much lately, but I really do enjoy it. It's pretty stable, folds easily, and is relatively quiet. The only problem I had was the rubber pad came unglued so I had to superglue it back at a corner. No biggie.

I used Hockey soft rubber puck cut in half, mostly for the rebound action and it works pretty well.

I had tried one of the Gibraltar pads but I didn't like it too well. And I don't recommend it for practicing double bass drumming; the rubber melt on mine!

I didn't really measure it. I look at what I already had in hand build it from there...

I think the base plate is 8" x 12" then I measured the height I needed to place the beater most center (where's stronger) I keep my beater with the same setting I use with my real BD.

Lame effort at stating you have amazing speed;) but suriously, melted???? I've been kicking the crap out of mine with no problems.
