Hello folks, if anyone could tell me who this drummer is I'd much appreciate it, the kit sounds fantastic and he pulls out some great chops (if you watch the whole vid) :)

Thanks in advance,

Not sure if this it him or not, but many sources quote it as being Oystein Jevanord.

Thanks for the responces Damo Syzygy and That Guy, I've googled Oystein Jevanord and can find no information on him, Wikipedia's pretty useless too. Plays the drums the way i like them though :)

Thanks again, Alex :)

It's a little hard to if it's Oystein Jevanord or not, but he played drums a couple of A-ha cds mid 80, so it it could very well be Oystein in that video.

Oystein Jevanord is born in 59. He has been a major figure in Norwegan music for years. He has played with many great Norwegain bands. The last I heard of is a powertrio named Oslo Plektrum.

BTW he plays harmonice aswell..

Don't know much about the band but his drumming is identical to the studio track so I'd assume it's the same guy.

^ not to mention that he was the listed as the drummer for A-Ha during the period that clip was shot.

The incredible drummer in this video is no other than Michel Sturgis, american..
He did the first a-ha worldtour 85/ 86. and Japan / Island / France- tour summer 87. He also plays on Scoundrel days. Later Asia, John Wetton , Wishbone ash etc..

My self joined and enjoied his company during the 87-tour, tractating the percussionbit..

Regards from Øyst... (or Einstein as i was called by english people that dont know how to say Øøøøøyy....)
