So I had the issue with the IC beaters (they suck because the tips fall off) and really they seemed a tad light to me. My Eliminator beater felt a bit too heavy so I went looking for wood beaters. Most looked to big, but not the Danmar so I got them.

WOW, I like them. Honest they feel weight wise right in between the IC and the Elim, I had the weight collar on the ICs all the way by the beater BTW. They have a real good feel to me and I'm diggin the sound. So unless they explode on me during use anytime soon these seem to be really nice beaters.

I've been wanting to pick some of those up. Danmar makes a good product.

Just make sure that you use a bass drum impact pad of some sort because with the wood beaters you'll wear through the head quicker.

Would these be considered harder than the 2-sided DW mallets? I use the hard plastic side of the DW. Anyone know what the difference would be between the Danmars and the DW's?

To me plastic seems to have a bit more slappy of a sound, or something....

So what is the sound, or feel, you are getting from these? Also, what drum, and head are you using these on? What kind of music do you play?

I second the impact pad notion....

I have a Gretsch Renown 22x20 kicks with the emad on it. I don't have anything in the bass. Oh and I have the emad impact pads on... Can't afford new heads everyother week:)

Basically I was using the flatter plastic side of the eliminator quad beater before these. Perhaps the flat part is the greater reason for increased click not that plastic, I don't know.

anyway, the sound is more smooth to me but still punchy. I lean to more rock or hardcore kind of stuff.
