Hi,
I'm simply searching for good jazz/funk/groove bands to discover.. maybe something like dennis chambers.. I really like this jazz style. Thank you for your help!

This may be alittle off from what you're thinking, but I'd look into Clutch. They're alot harder, and probably farther away from Dennis' style than you're thinking, but they're a great Funk/Groove band and the drummer, Jean-Paul Gaster has alot of Jazz influence in his playing.
Albums I'd look into are Jam Room, Robot Hive/Exodus, and Blast Tyrant.

Check out the John Mayer Trio. Heavy Blues, funk and jazz present in some of his recordings. Especially check out the albums TRY! and Continuum.

Soulive is IMO the preeminent jazz-funk-groove band out there right now -- definitely check them out. For other bands, search out Topaz, Ulu (no longer together), Jazzanova, John Ellis, Josh Roseman, the RH Factor...
Also, I have a band that plays in this style.. go to my Myspace page and listen to the song "Summertime" and see if you like it. If you do I can send you some more mp3s of our stuff.

I really like Stanton Moore, also check out the album "Out Louder" by Medski Martin Scofield and Wood. ANd the Joshua Redman Elastic Band, Brian Blade and Jeff Ballard are on fire.

Check out the Christian McBride Band with Terreon Gully on drums. I think that will satisfy your needs.

Definitely, Steve Jordan helped make the new album and I suppose he's drumming throughout.
