I've only ever heard 1 track where Buddy Rich was playing funk. It's on his Tuff Dude album I think.

Just looking for more tracks where he does that kind of stuff... suggestions?

Do you mean Chameleon.
Just found it on BN.com; I'm shocked. I''ve always respected him for hard swinging now I respect him for a hard grooving. Didn't know about this stuff before. I'm getting hungry for more Buddy-funk.

No, if your thinking about the original version of Herbie's 'Head Hunters' - Harvey Mason played on that album. The one which they're talking about is just a cover Buddy did.

I really think there are better people to look into for some good funk playing. Its almost like when you hear buddy playing those grooves, he doesnt really want to be.

Nah I'm not looking in to it for the drumming.. I'm just suprised to hear Buddy sort of 'out of context' and was wondering how much of this stuff he did.
