Hey.

So, I'm looking to buy a Double pedal tomorrrow, now I just want to know what you people think is the best choice...I've played a Iron Cobra power glide Double which I thought was really good, but I also want to know what's the difference between that and the Pearl Elimators? Opinions?

Personally I would go for DW 9002 (Since I've played a DW 9000 single, which I loved), but it's a tad pricy...

I have played the Iron Cobra and like it alot. I have also played the DW 5000 turbo and like it ok , but I have not tried the 9000. One thing you might try is the Yamaha Flying Dragon Direct Drive double pedal. I have the single pedals and love them ( super smooth and fast ). I would love to get a double pedal version some day. They are roughly the same price as the Iron Cobra. So for me 1. Yamaha Flying Dragon 2. Iron Cobra 3. DW9000 .... Unless you can afford the DW9000 and realy like it over the others. For me i did not like it enough to pay the extra$.

If the store you're dealing with has a good selection, put your feet on everything. Take home the one that feels best to you. I also have Yamaha Flying Dragon Direct Drive (2 single pedals) and I can't sing enough praise about them. I have the Off-Set double pedal system http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u162/hrconway/134-3415_IMG.jpg (picture there) which is an animal of a different sort. Only 2 other center pedal systems I know of (Sonor and Sleishman) and I've never even seen a Sleishman pedal up close. Played the Sonor and the Off-Set back to back, for 3 days, and the Off-Set won.

You can find some deals on the 9000's on ebay. I got my 9002's for $300, brand new. The 9002 is so smooth and sweet.

I've never acctually used a double pedal that was mine. I played one at my friends house...but i use a Pearl Eliminator Strap Drive Pedal...and if the double is anything like the single...then I reccomend it.

I have the Flying Dragon also and I really enjoy them...

My vote's for the Iron Cobra's. I just picked up a double flexi glide (straps)
and it's lightning fast. I also own a power glide as well (single and double).

DW makes nice pedals too. I owned a double 5002 (double chain), but I
sold it to get my Iron Cobras. I haven't personally tried the 9000's, but I
know a drummer who has one and said he already broke it twice.

The pearl eliminator pedals are sweet too...but I've been so happy with Iron Cobras
for the past couple years, so I stuck with them. You wouldn't be disappointed.
Best of luck.
