Not the best, but it's alright, it was just a random groove session. I hope you guys like it...

Gooood groove!! How long have been playing btw?
I like the fact that you`re not permanently bashing the drums like "I wanna be the fastest!" Good groove as I said. I can suggesst to keep up workin on that groove.
And work on dynamics more, especially when doing a fill-in. Practice basic rudiments as such as doubles, paradiddles etc.
Being creative with such rudiments will open many doors!
Good work... =)

very nice groove, the only thing that disapointed me is that there isnt much stick definition on the ride cymbal.
But i agree with karl, work on rudiments, then you can add in some funky fills in with your grooves.

Heck man, you're always implying how weak you are, then I hear this and find you're exaggerating. For seven months that's really good. The groove and the time are solid and reliable. I do agree with everyone else to now start focusing on rudimental studies. For starters, that's going to bring maturity to those fills and make you a more fluid player.
I can't imagine what you're going to sound like in a year.
I know you have mentioned some physical limitations. Does any of that come into play for this kind of playing? For example did it hurt physically to make this video, or is your threshold for pain higher than this? If it is, then I think you can eventually do a lot more.
Good job.

Sweet beat man!
I would like to know from those of you: what basic rudiments and paradiddles are good to learn? Do you have any sites? Thanks!

Good Job man! Waaaay better than your first session. Nice groovy feel and vibe but a little shaky on some of the fills. Other than that great for only 7 months!

That means a lot, Matt; thanks so much!
As far as physical limitations my wrists are very weak, I compensate by using sticks no bigger than 7a's. That's helped a ton. Still with the long hours of playing every day, I have a bit of numbness in my left hand. The pain is no where near as bad as it used to be, my wrists have become somewhat used to it. This video was done at a relatively low speed for me but I'm not too into ridiculous speed just because I'm not stable with it. Eventually I'll play fast but I'm trying to get really solid at common, very usable speeds.
The "limitations" aren't really limiting, anymore.

Doesn't sound good, there should be no pain or numbness. Even though there is only a little or none now, still you could've damaged your wrists.

I have broken both of my wrists. I have carpel tunnel syndrome. I have gotten my technique to where that doesn't bother me too much.
I've talked to physical therapists, they can't do anything for me. I'm going to go back to my orthopedist within the next few weeks if I can because of my back, I'll ask again about my wrists. They always give me these exercises that don't help.

That's an awesome site for guys who are visual learners. Pretty much every single rudiment helps out your drumset playing, however the most practical are the diddles, ratamacues, and rolls.

Mr. Pasquini!
I am impressed! Your groove was solid and your time was right on...no speeding up or slowing down. I especially liked your bass drum work. Very cool!
Do what Karl says...learn your rudiments. Constant 16th notes can get boring to listen to (and to play for that matter. lol)
You're doing well for 7 months. Keep at it.
