Man, I love the Blues!!!
What a great gig! You're lucky to be playing such good music with such good musicians.
Where were the mistakes? The ending sounded good to me. You played the whole song well.
I'd like to hear more.

That was cool, I felt like I was in a bar, except better, I didn't have to breathe all that yucky smoke, ha.

man I hate smoke so much. having to get home at three then to get up and be at church at 730 smelling like smoke really sucks. I shoulda recorded purple rain from that nite. it was off the chain!

Wow, I really enjoyed that!! Love this band. You`re definitly lucky.
Everybody has a great feel for this music...including you!
Good playing, really?
An idea though, maybe experiment with some doubled sextuplets (I`m not sure about the English word) if you count a triplet-based 4/4 beat. In those slower tempi it can be a cool thing to do I think.

do you mean use sextuplet groupings for my fills? I use them but it depends on how I feel at that moment on whether or not I do. if i dont feel it, I dont play it.......although the next tune was purple rain and i had 1 1/2 bar sextuplet fills during the guitar solo :) i enjoyed that tremendously!
Karl you rule brotha! hey and thanks for the compliments and suggestion, I'll definitely add some extra sextuplets every now and then just for you.

Hey!
Understood...and yeah, just do a thing if you think it fits or if you feel like you could do it.
I actually meant doubled sextuplets. In those tempi you could do those without problems.
Would be something like this (if played in doubles):

hmmmm I think I'd get shot if I did that during that song. either by my keyboardist or a member of the audience lol. rough crowds in memphis, you pull something they dont like and they'll cut you.

haha...is it really so hard over there? :-D
Was just an idea...also a question of dynamics...maybe playing it piano?
But okay, I really don`t know what the others like and what not.
haha...anyway, great drumming man.
Be careful, from what I could read your life could end every minute over there in memphis...

naw its not quite that hard but close. now you didnt say anything about playing them pianissimo. that sounds pretty slick to me, I'll do that next time to see what comes of it.

Or piano pianissimo. ;-)
You know what I mean...just an idea.
PS: But I don`t wanna be the person who makes the crowd wild because of this pattern. lol
