Sonor?

I was thinking about buying a sonor force 3005 kit in the near future. On musiciansfriend it was $800. But now it's $1049 for the same kit. what happened?

I dont want to insult you but you sure there not the new 3007 series? There great drums & im sure if you shop around you can get a great price on 3005's as there not going to be made anymore

Musiciansfriend on line is showing 5 different 3005 kits at 5 different prices. Make sure you are comparing the same set.

If you are in the "serious" phase, I suggest you buy them now. they are going fast & won't last more than a few weeks at the $749 price on musiciansfriend.

I bought mine off of eBay for $699 but they are long gone at that price.

I think Sonor prices are tied directly to the Euro

that is, the kit is set for the model year at X Euro, so in the States when the dollar value vs. the Euro changes, the stores may have to change their price to meet the agreed upon minimum retail in euros that they have with Sonor.

With the advent of the 3007 series, that's probably the main reason for discounts on the 3005. $530 is a darn good price if that's the kit you want.

ok i just purchased a 3005 kit and my advice is to act fast. they are no longer being made by sonor because they are being replaced by the 3007's. so the only ones left are what the warehouses still have left in stock. and as far as those $530 ones they are incomplete sets, plus they were discontinued by musicians friend and are therefore nearly impossible to get. i tried buying a $530 one and i got an email saying they are no longer being sold. and if you order buy phone, you will get a surprised response and then told that that product doesn't exist even though its still posted on the site. if you really want one, buy it now, if not, spring for the 3007's

well crap, i guess i'll just keep saving up and maybe try for a 3007 later. or consider some other things.
