Seeing that I live in Montreal, yep, I'm definetly going. If anyone's coming to town, let me know and come see one of my gigs!
I've spent a lot of money on tickets. If anyone wants to come hang or play or something, PM me.
edit: Dude, what group are you with?

Its a blues group,

I auditionned for the "camp de blues" (blues camp) and got picked so I get to spend 1 week with teachers (drum teacher is SAMUEL HARRISSON), and go to clinics, etc..

All the persons picked in this camp will be mixed togheter to form 6 blues bands and get to play at the jazz fest.

So I don't know with who or what were gonna play yet because it starts in 2 weeks.

I think it will be fun :)

Good grief!! I missed him, my idol. Well, at least it happened a week before I even heard of the festival ;-)

BTW, I live in Vermont right now, so Montreal was a 2 hour drive for me. I guess I'll be keeping a watch out for him in the near future.

And Pattitucci too!!! My god I'm so pissed right now!!

^^^^^^ - that's awesome

I saw Dave Weckl at a clinic a few weeks ago and got an autograph after. He's incredible. I wouldn't pass up any opportunity to see him. Unfortunately I won't have the opportunity to see this.

So does Montreal have a jazz festival this same time every year then?

I might want to go next year.

Montreal does do this festival each and every year. So here's looking to 2008.

Steph
P.S. Looks like Dave does a lot of traveling these days. He's going to be in Spain and Italy next, according to his schedule.

I really want to go to the whole camp, but I can't bring myself to spend $800 + another $200 for travel.
