well, I recorded this today, I already had a part made up in my head (piano) and improvised the rest. I played the piano first and than added drums, I use garage band, an SM57,an SM58 and a no name mic to record. I dont really like the cymbal sound in this recording... but I dont have any condensers.

Insomnia (http://media.putfile.com/Insomnia-60-30)

I wrote this last week, when I was having big troubles sleeping, hence the name.

P.S. Does any know what maximum audio file size is on myspace ? Cause this is 10.3 megs and it wont accept it, Its 3.6 megs in m4a format, but myspace dosent accept m4a...

P.P.S. you can now hear it on myspace. www.myspace.com/etiennemason

This is really good. The ride came out nicely. Great work on the ivory. The ending bit where you really built it up was easily the best part, personally I would've have kept that going for a while, but it's your song. At the very end the contrast drum groove was cool, snare sounds good too. I like it.

Very very nice work. I really like it alot!!
Did you first record the piano and then the drums??

And...in my opinion the piano is too loud, turn it down a bit or turn up the drums a bit.

Overall nice job...man, keep it up!

wow :) it is a little depresive, but i like songs of these kind ;) nice job, it's truth, that there is a little bit lack of volume on the drums, but it is nothing you cant fix
