Hi Guys.

There's this guy who wants to buy my ZXT Titanium Rock Hats and my broken Projection Crash for 190 buck roughly, good deal?

Its hard to say with diffrent money and the price of gear overseas but id say decent money for anything cracked would be a good deal (Im not the kind of person to try and cut down a cymbal or anything id just see it as a chance to get some cash back)

Can you buy a replacement crash with the 190 you will get? (give or take a bit more put in from any saved cash you have) If yes then I would personally sell.

My rule of thumb is never pay more than 70% off retail for used gear. If the cymbal retails for $100 (USD), I'd never pay more than $30. Why? Because you can find plenty of places to buy the very same drum/cymbal for 50% off retail. Not always, but more often than not. If it's vintage and/or no longer being made, you can't use my "rule".

190 bucks (USD) or (GBP) ... take it an run!
I wouldn't give over $75 (USD) for the HiHats ... IF ... they were in "like new" condition. You can purchase these same cymbals for $135 (USD) or less, and they are brand new, so if I'm buying these used for $75, they better be in incredible shape.

The broken cymbal is worth whatever it is to the buyer. I wouldn't give more than $5 or $10 (USD) for a broken cymbal ... even if I really wanted it (for whatever reason).

Hey man, Thanks! Yeah, I'm getting a pretty good deal for these cymbals all in all. I'm selling them, if you might have mistaken something.

$190 for those is very good on your end, not so wise on his end.

(and how have you managed to get away with having your avatar??? lol)

I wasn't mistaken; I know you are selling them. I was just giving you an example of what I would do if I were shopping for the cymbals.

Ok, man ;) Well, if I'd have to be honest, I'm giving him apretty good deal, just because cymbals are a lot more expensive here in Iceland than lets say, In USA or Canada. ;)
