Technically it is very nice. Sounds like you're using an e-kit, and there is a big lack of dynamics. :x

The part with the straight double kicking reminds me of an old song I composed in a tracker. During a part with a beat like that I had a sample of an elephant tooting its horn and then it went into some crazy UFO stuff I think.

Thanks for the comment. Let me try again, this time with more dynamics. Also a new and better sounding kit and some grooves..

I think you did it well. Personally I like the first one more. (especially the sound of the snare).

How long do you play?

I like the first one better as well. I don't think it's your playing that is lacking dynamics. I think the e-kit is just masking it. Someday e-kit samples will be multi-layered with numerous variations of each part of the kit so when you do a snare roll for example, it doesn't sound like a machine gun. Maybe the TD20 can do that, but I know that idea has already started to become incorporated into orchestral samples for composers who sequence their music. Of course, for an e-kit that means the pads need to have more zones to take advantage of something like that.

I do like the first one better myself, the second one was cut off early any way. I think its the e-kit, I tried more dynamics but it really didn't come out as I had hoped. But thanks for the comments.

BTW: On the first one, I had to sneak in a double bass roll somewhere. : )

pretty sweet.

Bass rolls are cool and i would ask for some dynamics but of course your on an e-kit so that cant happen.
Though i do beleive roland incorperated dynamics on the TD-20s but dont quote me on that.
