I got my axis e kits, but i cant use them to their full potential because i have a broken ankle. But i installed them and they work great! I recommend them to metal drummers everywhere. P.S. Thank you forks drum closet for buying them and sending them! -Joe Peters

Does it function any better than a Roland KD-7?

The cool thing about the EKit is you can maintain everything about your acoustic bass drum set up and have a trigger to boot. The inverted beater to rubber pad is used if you don't want an overlaping acoustic sound. You can buy EKit without the beater and pad, save some $
The Ekit can also be rigged to trigger lights (strobe etc). The trigger is machanical and adjustable to different settings, before-on-after the beat et. EKit is sensitive, if set incorrectly the detonator could break off, so be carefull.
All Axis pedal are pre drilled for EKit mounting, I don't see why you couldn't rig Ekit to another pedal, if you have the ability.
