for just a verbal description is says "plus" on it and has a scriptish style of writing that looks like SOZ with the top of the s and z connecting.

They appear to be the 502 series which have been discontinued and replaced by the PST5 series.

I got these along with my first set, Tama swingstars, in about 2000 or 2002. I can't see why my guys would have given me old cymbals. They are entry level though. replaced the crash and am on my way to the hats. I like the ride though, heavy and its got a killer bell. A little to loud and bright for blues or jazz though :(

Sorry.....they are 80's models.....I still play the 505's which are the same alloy as the 2002's....some paiste purists would love to see the 505's come back...

They are Paiste 502 plus, introduced in 2003 according to Paiste. Maybe you're thinking of 505 larlev?...The 503's where the middle range model of the entry level cymbals for Paiste. Their range went(from base model) 302 plus, 502 plus, 802 plus then they moved up into the Alpha seris which are a middle quality line. The range has now changed and all of these base models where discontinued for the now...101, 201 (which are pathetic) PST3 and PST5.
Pretty sure thats all right.
