It's a wrap.....I love laquers but hate how easy they get chipped...so I went with durability
Pearl butt joints the wrap...I can't feel where the seam is without looking at it

Lovely finish, how much did it cost you? Not meaning to copy anyone, but 'lovely tom sizes'. Really like that kit man.

i was never really a fan of sparkle finnishes, always thought they looked a bit gay (no offense to any homosexuals just wasn't really my style). until i got my current kit in bermda blue sparkle. now i love anything that sparkles, including your kit man it looks sweet as!

Beautiful kit. I love the finish. I've always thought that Pearl made some of the classiest finishes. You're a lucky guy.
BTW, where's the resonant head of your floor tom?

Nice kit! I have one in bronze glass (certainly not my first pick in finish, well, wrap, but I got an EXCELLENT deal that I couldn't pass up) with a 14x14 floor as well. The bass drum is damn meaty, huh? Love the thing. I've tried lots of heads on the kit, my best experience is EMAD with stock reso non ported, no muffling except EMAD ring, G2 coated over G1 clear on toms, though I'm usually not a fan of coated heads on toms, but they sound good with birch! just figured you may want to know a decent combination before spending hundreds of dollars on heads to find a good sound like I did. With those heads, the bass drum is very full, resonant, and extremely bassy and powerful. The toms are sweet and birchy, very separated and articulate, and the coated heads give the extra warmth. Anyway, awesome kit. Love Pearl!
