just tried a pair when going to get sticks, i had heard good things about them and 1 or 2 of my favourite drummers use them as well.
Oh hell yeah they were good, i'm putting a deposit in this weekend, so responsive and bright and just perfect (to my ears anyway!). Anyone else tried them? Or played anything similar that they thought i should try before i spend my hard earned cash?
Also blagged a go on a roland TD12 while i was there, damn good fun but just not the same as an acoustic...

a fine choice. Doesnt Jose Pasillas from Incubus use those?

they are indeed. i got them on saturday, borrowed the money off a mate. He is so rich that his mum gave him £21,000 for his 21st birthday.
ENVY!
Anyway, took them to band practice and they rock, nice and tight and funky. We record this weekend so i will post sound clips soon. It may couple of weeks though as we will only have a rough mix and i dont want to post anything until they are all mastered. We are doing four tracks. Can't wait....
...Here is another thumbs up for the 13" AAX Fusion hats.
One of the nice things about these hats, and Sabians fusion hats in general is that they are so versatile. I have a pair of 14" AA Fusion hats that I sometimes play with the bottom on top, and a drum key in one of the speed holes to give them a little sizzle.
It's also nice to have rich friends.
Good score on both counts.

Hey guys I was wondering if the 13" aax fusion hats are able to cut through metal music

oh hell yeah, i have had to get rid of them cos they were too cutting, and i hit too hard so it was a violent combination. if i did any metal i would go back to them, the bottom cymbal is unlathed and very thick which gives a silly amount of projection.
they would be perfect for metal

They're my favorite hi-hats. I love gigging with them. They have been my main hi-hat set for 2 years now. I love them for hard rock/prog-metal because the bottom cymbal is so thick and gives them a washy sound. the closed "chick" sound is amazing, as well.
The bottom unfinished cymbal and the two holes prevent airlock, and just give it such a bright sound. I posted a couple pics from my kit for people to see them...
