Dreams are VERY good esp. for the price. I have a 20" contact. Good jazzy type rides.

Dream Cymbals are hand hammered with good quality B20 or B22 bronze, the work done on the cymbal is good and their main characteristic is their "old turkish K's" sound. They are imported in America by a Canadian dist. and then shipped to dealer.

The cymbal weighs 3415 grams. The stick projects very well and there's a mildly trashy undercurrent. It crashes well, too.

I don't know if it's a I, II, or III.

I bought it at the Chicago Drum Show from Chris Fisher, owner of Front Range Bronze. He's a great guy with a great product.

I now have 4 Dream Bliss cymbals: an 18", 1270g crash, a 20", 1810g crash/ride, a 22", 2485g crash/ride, and the 24". I only have about $500 invested in the whole set, and that's a great deal 'cause these are great cymbals.

From your pics, you own a Bliss III.

Dream pies are becoming very well praised. Their price went up fast but they are still very affordable for what you get. Here in Canada, Dream sells for the price of Sabian B8's.

these cymbals are the real thing, don't be fooled by their inexpensiveness. I've got 2 sets of hats, a splash,2 18'' crashes,2 20'' crashes and a 24'' ride.
For all the non-jazz players, don't worry, they work very well for country and rock. the soundfiles on frontrange were spot on for my cymbals.

the 24 i played a the store nearby was DIVINE. i can only imagine how much fun you're having with it! i'd buy one too, it's just that they're huge and i have absolutely nowhere to put it.
i bought a 20" bliss ride a couple of months ago for just $125, and i love it. it's really washy so i've taped it up. sounds beautiful.... it's also a great crash for louder music.
the only problem is that there's no real consistency in their sound... i've heard a couple of TERRIBLE cymbals made by dream and the only way to buy these is to go to a store and actually play them before you make a purchase.

And if they are all new cymbals, that's an awesome price. Too bad I play heavier music... or do they produce cymbals that are suitable for heavier music as well?

Get a 20" crash/ride instead,in the 1800g range. I think you'll find it more versatile than the 18" crash.

yeah i just baught an 18" crash today so i will go with the 20'' its only 10 dollars more so not like it is gunna hurt to get the 20

ive got a 22'' contact ride. Works great for rock and jazz. It has a great bell the stick sound is great i love the wash i get from it. At first i didnt like to crash it could not control it but ive had it for a few months (december when i got it) and in a amplified setting it works GREAT

The 24" projects well. I heard mine being played from across the room at the Chicago drum show, and it was loud in that room with all the drums and cymbals being played. I haven't played the ride in an amplified situation yet but based on previous experience, I'd say it will be fine. The same holds for the 22". The 20" will work well as a crash or as a ride in quieter sections.

The Contacts are brighter than the Bliss series, so they may be better suited to amplified situations.

Having said all that, I don't play blow-your-eardrums loud music, and all my cymbals work, including the Istanbul Agop Signature and SE rides and the Bosphorus Turk rides.
