I've found one new for £125, and Im considering calling the company up and ordering it, but I was just wondering whether it would be suited to my style of music. I have listened to the sound file on the Paiste site and like it. Would it work well as a main crash, my only crash for the time being? I play mainly British Indie Music, Classic Rock, and A bit of Jazz.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Tom

A great cymbal. I'm not sure on the conversion rate from pounds to dollars, so I can't speak for the price.
It is very versitile and sounds fantastic, I had an 18 inch a while ago. Do it.

I ordered it!!!!
It retails here arround £250, roughly, so it was about half price, I had to pay delivery which was pricy due to location, but it still came out at £147.50, so I am thrilled.

Nah I think the exchange rate is about 2$ to the £1, so double the price, with postage is arround $300. Im not sure how cheap this is by american standards, but here it is an amazing deal.

half price is a good deal in any country... you'll love it
the lower pitched crash in this little recording is a 17" fast crash... http://www.wrxhackers.com/NewDrums/TimsDrums.mp3 at least.. I'm pretty sure I hit it as least once lol

Keep in mind he's in the UK.. so that $249 + whatever shipping would be more expensive than what he paid probably. The higher pitched cymbal in that recording is a Sound formula 16" full crash.. i love that one too =)

Oh yeah, and Crazyhorse, what other crashes have you used with it that have blended well, as I would like to eventually get a 2nd crash.

I've just had the 16 and 17 with 20" sig ride and 13" sig hats for quite some time. I'm just now getting back into building up my collection a bit. The sound formula series is one to be on the look out for as that was the precursor to the signature line up if you stay within the paistes. Just sold my 13" hats for like 180 bucks shipped on ebay recently so I'm looking for replacements here soon.
