Zildjian makes some of those spiral cymbals now too. They look fun to have. I like the splash hanging upside down in the middle. Duct tape fixes everything :)
Now just switch those TAMA cymbals for Sabian AAX and you're ready to go ;)

Wow, I wanna hear a sound-byte of that crazy spinny thing.
Those black pads in the background are a digital kit?
Does it have a kick?

I have to make a case for those Tama cymbals, I have the same type and color kit, same Tama cymbals, and everything, and the other night for a gig I threw on some Zildjian A's that I had access to, and the Tama cymbals actually fit quite nicely. I didn't use the hihat, but the ride and crash were fine sounding. This was a jazz show, so I wasn't crashing or riding anything hard, then the difference would have been noticable, but for the low volume stuff, it really wasn't bad. The drums sounded great live too (used the stock snare as a side snare, though, Ludwig Acrolite as my main)
All that said- really, get the AAX or Vaults as soon as you can, it will make it more fun to play.

Sweet little spiral thing. I saw the zildjian ones at GC one time, looked catchy but too wild of a sound for me : P
I like how you hang that little disk or whatever it is. Havent really seen any of those.

haha thanks. the zildjian ones blow. they are made of a lower quality metal and they are cut thinner so they hang down farther and the wobble more.
haha thanks man. it's a CD Cymbal Disc. it's like a bell, only not very bell-like...it's hard to explain...

My dad bought me the Vault b/c my tama crash broke and he thought the Vault sounded good. when it breaks imma replace it with an AAX. and i like my hi hats :)

So, how exactly did blast beats evolve?
That book looks like it could rule. I told the guys in the band where I play drums that if they bought it for me, I would ruin their band.
It's very different than anysetup I'd use, and that's why being a drummer is great; there are so many ways each one of us can be an individual.
Cheers!
