My Main set-up is the xs20 line!
Here's what i say:
16inch rock crash: high in pitch, good sustain, great stick definetion. An amazing crash that sounds great in any collection of cymbals.
18inch rock crash: a bit lower in pitch then brother 16 inch, but this cymbal blends very well, and has an amazing sound. Nice sized bell, and great stick definetion.
20inch rock ride: My favourtie. Huge bell, great stick definetion, and blends amazingly well. The bell is clear and cuts through loud music very well. The ride also sound's awsome when used as a crash, like drummer's who use ride's as crashes, like Taylor Hawkins.
14inch rock hats: Nice hats. Alright chick, descent transition from closed to open. These Hats sound a heck of alot better when slitely open. These would be great for metal, while playing a double kick.

I have a 10" XS20 China Splash, and I am very impressed with it-it is the only "intermediate" cymbal that I own, and I don't plan on replacing it anytime soon. Very punchy, and bright!

i was thinking of getting a 10" Xs20 splash. It sounds sick on the sabian website but has anybody played it before?

I know what you mean. And the weird thing is that they're supposed to be cheapies.

xs20's are great for how much they cost they can make due for recording or a gig situation but if you have the extra money definatly step it up to aa's or aax

I have the 18" Xs20 MedThin crash and love it. I chose between it and an 18" AA MedThin and couldn't justify spending the extra $80 bucks. I could have the Xs20 and a brick of Pro Mark 707s or the AA alone for the same money. I also have an 18" AA El Sabor MedThin that I use as a crash/ride. It, also, is fantastic (my favorite cymbal) but the Xs20 holds up nicely in my setup. I find the sustain on the MedThin is much like a miniskirt: long enough to cover the subject but short enough to keep it interesting.

I got a free set of xs20s (rock performance pack) with my Force 3005 from MF a couple of years ago. The 14" hats were actually my least favorite of the set. They felt clunky and too heavy for my taste. I replced them with HHX Groove hats.
The rock crash was really a nice cymbal. Also fairly heavy, but good sustain and nice tone. The jewel of the set was the 20" rock ride. As mentioned above, great stick definition, nice bell sound and wash when you wanted it.
Highly recommended as a moderately priced alternative to low end (B8, ZBT, etc.) brass.
