This should be under the cymbal category ;)
My favourite is the Meinl Byzance dark ride.

I don't look for cymbals that are meant to be crash rides, I've found they don't sound good as either. I look for rides that also have a great crash sound or crashes that also have a great ride sound. The Bosphorus New Orleans Series rides make great crash/rides.

K Constantinople Med Thin Ride
All add to that d.c. drummer and say that my 20" K Constantinople light. Great ride quality with a intense but brief crash.

My personal favorite crash/ride cymbal is a piece of no-name-brand rubbish I got with my cocktail drum set.
My theory of crash/rides is that they ought to sound rubbish, i.e. machine-hammered, 30$ piece of crap cymbal. That way, you actually have to learn to play the thing. When I first got it, I thought it was worth as much as a frisbee, but I put a sizzle on it, and learned to play it properly, and now, if I wanted, I could probably do away with both my ride and my crash with minimal concequences.

The best I've played on is my Sweet Ride although I don't use it much for crashing. It has that crash/ride sound but its just 21" so that makes it a bit much at times. The Armand Ride is a great crash/ride sizzle cymbal also.

I don't like designated "crash/rides" either. Usually they don't do either very well IMO.
My favorite is my 19" Bosphorus Turk Thin Ride. I actually like it more as a crash than a ride, mainly because it's so light I don't have the right touch for it to sound good as a ride in my hands yet.
I'm into rides you can crash on, not vice-versa as much. My love right now is a 20" traditional ride from bosphorus.

Agreed Eric, I also prefer a designated ride which has a nice warm crash sound.
