C&C are really high quality custom drums. I have a large maple kit that has great depth to it and resonates really well. I love a big sounding deep rock kit and C&C does an excellent job making one.

I like the angles. I played on a ludwig octaplus for several years and that's just what I'm used to. Because of how deep the toms are I would have to sit considerably higher than I'm comfortable to play the toms level.

The AA in the corner is a cracked ride. I just keep it around in case.

Sounds great. Do they make their shells, or are they a Keller customizer?

I THINK C&C uses Keller... however they do a GREAT job of doing the finishes, etc. They use top quality stuff and have some very cool design work. Definitely professionals as far as their workmanship goes. No point reinventing the wheel I suppose.

Looks like a lovely kit, but it took me a while to get used to it. Looks a bit uncomfy for me, but it's your kit. I was just looking at a C and C kit on ebay. Looked fairly good, with tube lugs and the likes.

Some of the world's best drums are customized Keller shells. Personally, however, I give more props to a company that makes its own shells. But that's a huge investment in manufacturing technology and some companies would rather get world-class shells from Keller and focus their resources on perfecting the customizing process, like Pork Pie. I consider such companies to be great Keller shell customizers, but not drum makers. Just a semantic thing I guess.

You'd like the boys at Highwood over in the UK then =) In the end it's all about what the customer likes though. Most people wouldn't be able to afford a set like your iron wood monster. However, you know that I have a special place in my heart for hand crafted things as well.

Great kit. C&C are very nice drums. I really like how they do those albalone finished kits, like Ringo's ludwigs which the guys at C&C did.

I'm still pretty perplexed by the lugs issue.
