Hey people. Bought a couple of tom holders so I can take the DW to gigs now (cant be bothered to take the whole thing and the rack) so set it all up outside to see how it looks and tho it isnt the perfect final positioning (toms and ride aint right) im pretty happy!

Pics ahoy!

I got abit carried away with the pics.

ONE LAST THING! I bought a amazing condition used 2002 17" crash yesterday and after looking in the sunlight I cant figure out if this is a TINY crack or just a scratch. I'll be utterly gutted if its a crack as I pride myself on being very nice to my cymbals and to buy one pre-cracked would be heart breaking!

This is only visable on the underside of the cymbal

Looks like a scratch to me. I like the simplified kit, but after having tried to accomplish this myself you do tend to long for the rest of it after about 3 shows

Yeah looks like a scratch my friend.
I love 4-pieces, all I ever need. I never longed for more drums. Sometimes I might even take out the tom tom and just have a snare, floor, and bass.

Nice DW kit, but what's up with the Mapex snare? Nothing against Mapex, but if you're going to have a DW, why not a snare to match? I don't know, that's just my opinion.

Looks like a scratch to me too. No worries.

Very nice set. I play the same size setup, including a splash, and I love it. I own a second pair of hi-hats, two more toms, and a second snare, and I'll get the urge to use everything once in a while but in honestly only lasts about a half hour and then I strip it down again. Nothing beats a simple 4 piece for me.

I know DW snares are really amazing but you cant put down a black panther! Very loud and the hammered bronze has all the crack of metal and amazingly the warmth thats so hard to get when you dont choose wood. If I get another snare it prob will be DW (or a 10 inch BP)

Thanks for all the kind words guys great too hear. Makes my money spending feel justifyed! Also thank god about the crash I can finally sleep at night!

18" A custom Crash (logos worn away I sure its just a standard Crash)
24" 2002 Ride

That's just a scratch on that cymbal. Very nice setup, I love the finish. And nothing beats a 4-pc. set up.

Yeah the gig was the first time I got to properly play the cymbal outside the shop I bought it. Sounds really great im so glad theres no real damage to it!
