Wednesday night I subbed for a local singer songwriter cat (http://www.myspace.com/allenthompsonmusic) I though I played pretty poorly, but he asked me to play
the next gig as well (his regular drummer who is great, is out with a broken collar bone) The first pic is the stripped down Kit I played for this set
- my recently home refinished BD, Ride, Crash, Hats, snare (pic taken pre-show).

Thursday night we opened up for a local band called Sin City Revival (http://www.myspace.com/sincityrevival ) , it was our last show with my good friend who
has been subbing while we look for a permanent guy on bass. Had a great time, and played pretty well - Sin City ROCKED.
The First two pics are pre show pics of my cymbals at the Headliner's Force 2003 Drums (with a really cool delite snare, they sounded really good, although they were tuned a bit lower than I'm used to)
Here's a couple pics (If you can't tell it's usually a hippy joint):

Thanks, the kit in the second show wasn't mine, other than the cymbals and cowbell.
All the Dead pictures was a little weird, especially with us and Sin City Revival playing, neither of us fits the impression you get from those pics. Let me see if can find a pic of the GIANT head of Jerry Garcia c. 1968 that was staring at me the whole gig.

These are from another semi-impromptu gig tonight at a local bar, these are what I was really trying to do with that first pic above (same bass drum and cymbals, different snare - for the big gig I'm playing with this guy, I'm gonna take the "matte sienna" hoops from the BD that matches that snare, and put those on the bd in these pictures, with a Fiberskyn or Modern Vintage head)

Very cool. Kick and snare. That's what I'm rockin' right now.

Yeah, this is just for this gig. For my main band I play a 4 piece and one more cymbal (2 rides and a crash), but it's definitely fun playing the basics.
