wow, that set-up is really akward man, I really can't think of a way that would play comfortable, but maybe I have to try to think outside my own little box sometimes, like you did :). I wonder how you came up with this set-up

cool, symetrical... im to afraid to set up my kit that way. would love to see a vid of you playing it. i always look sets like your and envision myself trying to play them in a position like i would be in losing a game of twister.

Thanks for the intrest guys. Ya, I got inspired by Bill Bruford after being in a creative rutt for a while. I found when I was on jazz gigs where you couldn't bring much or if I played somebody's left hand setup, that the creativity seem to flow. There are quite a few drummers using this type of set up. (you can really work on your weak side) I don't use it exclusively, though. I often set up traditionally and much of the creativity crosses over aswell. I find my body contorts alot less with the symetrical config, too.

thats a pretty nice looking drumset there i like it it looks different.

Looks so different, if i had enough toms I would try it :-( nice wooden hoop on the snare as well.
