Had this little tiny shell sitting around and got bored today so that's what I came up with. Almost looks Emerald Green I guess. BTW.. it hasn't been wet sanded or buffed yet so it'll be shinier later. She's a little 12 x 3 drum... I'm not sure if I'll even bother putting the hardware on it as I don't have much use for it. Guess I could always sell it on ebay.

In my house i have a slate floor and that drum shell looks just like the slate. Slate green.

I dunno.. when I think slate I think satin finish... once I buff it out it's going to be pretty shiny. Would have been a good color to try a marble finish on though!
Guess I'll just pick up some cheapie lugs and rims and make myself a little piccolo drum for fun.

I'd go with Emerald. Whatever it's called, that's a beautiful drum!
What'd you pay for the shell?

My drum teacher tonight pretty much convinced me to go ahead and finish it. Chrome or brass on the green though?

Idk i would have to go with Gold...but then it would make me want to keep it too much...so if you plan on selling it, go with chrome.

About the only time I sell the ones I do is when I find another project... This is just one of my many hobbies. Gold would be pretty cool.... hrmmm

I dig it! Guess I'll order up some hardware tomorrow. Though I may need to put some reinforcement rings and recut it a bit... i'm not sure i trust 6 ply with a snare

I'd call it "sour apple Jolly Rancher"
Looks tasty!
I'd go with black hardware... if it was mine.

Beautiful drum, how much was it?

i agree with karl on the british racing green, looks exactly like it, plus you cant really determine the true colour when theres a huge lit up blotch in the middle, the darker parts look like BRG....post soundclips when you get the hardware on

It looks kinda like mine. Yamaha Maple Customs in Turqoise Maple...
Here you have a pic. so you can see almost how it would look with gold hardware...

I was about to say.... appple green sounds nice next to that. And gold hardware would look 'royal' with that.

Doesn't look like any proper British Racing Green to me. What about naming that color after a rudiment?
Looks like a Pataflafla Green to me. LOL
OK, maybe its a Ruff Green.
As Van Morrison sang the GREAT Seseme Street Song ... It's Not Easy Being Green. Joey

It's not that easy being green;
Having to spend each day the color of the leaves.
When I think it could be nicer being red, or yellow or gold...
or something much more colorful like that.
It's not easy being green.
It seems you blend in with so many other ord'nary things.
And people tend to pass you over 'cause you're
not standing out like flashy sparkles in the water
or stars in the sky.
But green's the color of Spring.
And green can be cool and friendly-like.
And green can be big like an ocean, or important like a mountain,
or tall like a tree.
When green is all there is to be
It could make you wonder why, but why wonder why?
Wonder, I am green and it'll do fine, it's beautiful!
And I think it's what I want to be.

Pataflafla Green
Niiiiiice! lol I'll order up the brass hardware for it and finish it up next week I suppose. Still gotta finish that lil red one with the horrendously masked tape job to replace my blue one since I sold it.
