hey, if someone could help me out here, that would be awesome!. i have Sabian B8Pro's and never switchin to a different brand...but i kinda like the Sabian Vault's. i love the sound, but i like to play hard rock/metal. so, what im tryin to get to is, can they take a beating.. or should i stay away?... thanks

I never tried them, but I'm positively sure that they can.

It going to depend on what you mean by "taking a beating". If you mean hitting straight into the cymbal as hard as you can every time, then no the Vault sereis or any other cymbal won't last.

they'll last if you know how to hit them correctly

just watch the crashes, if you're gonna crack/damage any of them i reckon it'd happen to the crashes first, they're most commonly the cymbals that are hit the hardest when playing hard rock/metal, and not as frequently hit properly while playing hard rock/metal. well from my discoveries anyways.
the good thing about the hats is they're really bright so you don't really have to give them a beating to get a good response out of them. i haven't tried any of the crashes or the rides though...
