I'm trying remo heads and i was wondering which resonant and batter heads give a big warm sound for your toms

To expand on that I would say that you should use coated emporers over ambassadors.
What style do you play?

I second that. I just tuned up a students kit with exactly that head configuration and it sounded great. Very deep and full. I was impressed.

Indeed. A deeper sound comes from a thicker reso, more so than from the batter. I'm always surprized how many stick fanatically to clear ambassadors as reso's.

Fiberskyns are great for deep sounds and they don't have the plastic tone.
